Red as a strawberry - why not!
Unless, red as a tomato is more your saying! Then again that just reminds me of too many cringe worthy situations that are accompanied by the tell tale reddish tint of my cheeks.
Anyway, like all things there is always a story behind a purchase. Normally, when I am just browsing through stores I walk to have a good look around but also with enough inconspicuous speed to not catch the sales people's attention. I definitely enjoy a good conversation but I always feel an obligation to buy something after taking up so much of the lovely lady or gent's time! Even though I know it is perfectly fine to say no, which I do more often then not. However, I just fine it quite interesting in a marketing perspective and wonder if anyone has similar feelings? Or, it could just be me...
So, after forgetting my inconspicuous speed as I stood and admired the double row of Chanel perfumes (favourite hands down Coco Mademoiselle!) and red hued lipsticks I was approached by a lovely sale's lady. Then I thought, why not and started talking about red nail polish. I tried on a spectrum of red, each finger on my right a slightly darker, lighter, matte or metallic red. Or, in my brothers' opinion, just R E D. One word, three letters, that's it and stop complicating it, i.e. can we go now!
Well, having bothered the lady with all my options I started to feel like I needed to purchase at least one nail polish. The thing is, the lady was not pushy at all. It's just the feeling I seem to get. Anyway, it was not a problem because I absolutely fell in love with the Chanel 'Pirate'. So, prepare to see that pop of red in outfit photos and just generally all over my Instagram!
