Begin Simply by April

Begin Simply is a space where I slowly curate my ideal wardrobe while giving a running commentary of the process. My ideal wardrobe is definitely one of neutral hues, simple cuts and quality material. Besides writing about my wardrobe I also intend to include cafe scenes (lots of coffee!) and still life photography. By the way, I watch too much AFL (yes, I am from Australia). On a more serious note, I am still not sure whether to continue on this platform (thinking of merging content from here to my Instagram), but for the time being I will be posting on both platforms - April

Winter uniform

During this Winter I seem to gravitate towards any permutation of a tee, a pair of jeans, a coat and ankle boots. Call it laziness or call it boring to a fault, but I will gladly take the few extra minutes wrapped up in my warm blanket. Who would complain? Given that it also means a little sleep in, albeit a couple of minutes, not everyone can be a polar bear and hibernate Winter away, right? Even as tempting as it sounds during mornings that greet you with pouring rain!

Anyway, back to what I am wearing and less on my tendencies to find ways to sleep in while using polar bears as comparisons! If any of my readers have a photographic memory I am sure you could spot the new addition to my wardrobe in the form of 'the grey tee'. I am not going to write in depth on this new purchase right now because this will soon feature in a later post. So, basically I live in tees or sweaters, add on jeans or trousers and my choice of two coats and there you have it, my Winter uniform. Guess what, it deserves the status of 'uniform' because it is something I wear day in and day out during winter. Simple, fuss free and extra sleep (hahaha)!

  1. All of your outfits are so perfect! I love men's tees as well, the fit is often so much nicer than women's xxx

    1. Thank you, Josie! I reckon both men's tees and sweaters are such great essential pieces when compared to the similar pieces you find in the women's section.

Just read some of your posts! Loving the Mulberry bag, just stunning. Also, really admire your courage to talk about your life with cystic fibrosis while still keeping such a positive attitude! x
