I'm sure you have heard the superstition while growing up that 'a black cat crossing your path is considered bad luck'. Well, no black cat crossed my path during that morning but it was still just not my day. Maybe my noir ensemble fuelled part of this well known superstition on that particular day - but I digress. Since I'm not really a superstitious person I blame my luck on myself and no other.
I missed the bus by less then a minute - not organised and as a result, ended up being late to breakfast with friends. While trying to rectify my 'lateness' I was walking slightly faster then what people would consider the norm when entering a cafe. Ending up with me nearly face palming right in front of not only my friends but a roomful of strangers. The embarrassment did not end there, while my friends fussed over me as I seemingly 'whipped lashed my neck and head' during the fall a waiter rushed over asking if I had hurt myself. Well, that swivelled more heads around while I tried to get myself off the ground, while also continuing reassuring the waiter that I was seriously fine and it was totally my fault! I am still very thankful and appreciative that the waiter thought of coming over and checking whether I was injured. Anyway, I ended the morning with an amazing breakfast and caught up with all the 'going ons' with very good friends, while laughing off my
bad luck (as some people might think!) or what I personally think, my clumsiness! In the end, I see no reason to not wear head to toe noir, or really head to toe in one single colour. It streamlines your silhouette and just has a sleek and modern feel about it.
Hopefully this little funny morning made your day - no objections if it did!
