Begin Simply by April

Begin Simply is a space where I slowly curate my ideal wardrobe while giving a running commentary of the process. My ideal wardrobe is definitely one of neutral hues, simple cuts and quality material. Besides writing about my wardrobe I also intend to include cafe scenes (lots of coffee!) and still life photography. By the way, I watch too much AFL (yes, I am from Australia). On a more serious note, I am still not sure whether to continue on this platform (thinking of merging content from here to my Instagram), but for the time being I will be posting on both platforms - April

A leather jacket can do wonders

A black leather jacket is my version of the "little black dress" in the jacket world. I run and grab it whenever I am in a rush because I know it will just work with any outfit I have on. I like to think leather jackets have a style mind of its own, how does it work with everything! So, unlike all other pieces, buying a leather jacket was harder then trying to think up ways to integrate it into my wardrobe.

The difficulty was the tug-of-war between my aesthetic and my budget. Also, the 'investment' factor came into play, especially just before I purchased it. Normally, when I am undecided I normally take a step back, go have lunch or leave it for another day. However, for this leather jacket, I slid the jacket off the hanger, tried it on, took it off and just bought it.

Most often then not your gut instinct is right and there was/is no exception in the case of this leather jacket.

  3. The best place to learn Chinese language is in China. However, we understand that it isn't always possible to move here to study Chinese language. The next best thing is to study with our experienced teachers in a virtual classroom. Online students enjoy the same excellent way of Chinese language class and custom designed courseware that we provide for our face to face clients.
